How the piece of jewelry is made
The piece of jewelry is hand made; each item is designed in a different form and color by a process of melting in burning flame.
Each item is a one off a kind and signed by the artist, Isaac Or.
A piece of glass jewelry is made using the LampWork technique.
The raw material comes in colored glass rods which are specially made for glass art in the Italian City 'Murano' .
The rods are melted and processed in a burning flame at a temperature of 900 degrees Celsius.
In the process of building the bead / piece of jewelry, the glass rod is melted processed and molded into the desired form.
Glass rods of a different color are also melted and added to the glass item as the artist wishes.
Using a pressing, cutting and pulling tools , it is possible to create an item which is colorful and interesting in appearance and to adapt it to its use as a piece of jewelry.
In the final structuring and design stage the glass item is put into a special oven where it goes through a 'anealing' process.
In this process, the, temperature of the bead / glass is reduced under control until it reaches room temperature, this is in order to prevent internal pressures in the glass and in order to strengthen the item.
Each piece of jewelry of Isaac Or goes through the anealing process and is examined in order to ensure its structural quality and strength.
